* The Mathematics Preparatory Workshops are designed to provide students with a prerequisite review and a brief introduction of the course. They range between 12 to 15 hours, offered before the start of the semester. Students who attend the workshops tend to have better preparation and show better results when taking the actual course. The workshops bear no college credits or grades, nor do they contribute towards graduation requirement. They may not be used to substitute for nor exempt from the course requirement. The workshops are freely available to students. Please contact the First Year Program to register for the workshops. Note, you don't need to be first year students to register. Students in the applied math program at City Tech are required to complete two internships: MAT4900 and MAT4901. Students need to request permission from the internship coordinator to register for these courses. The internships help students acquire the essential skills for the workplace, and find the kind of industries that best fit their career objectives.
To find out more about the internship program, please contact the internship coordinator, Prof. Nadia Benakli.
