Advisement
Supports students academically, with personal development goals and to engage students with the college community.
Why Is Advising Important?
- Assists students to engage in the learning process
- Develops critical thinking, decision-making, and learning skills
- Fully immerses students in the college experience
- Helps with course selection and many other academic decisions
- Identifies appropriate resources/supports

- Completion of school enrollment verification letter (W-700D) and most HRA-related forms
- CUNY EDGE/ Mitsui USA full tuition scholarship and assistance identifying other scholarship opportunities
- Degree Audit/transfer assistance
- GPA achievement incentives

- Liaise between campus departments Academic Departments, Admissions, Bursar , Counseling Services, Financial Aid, New Student Center, Our Children's Center, Professional Development Center (PDC), Registrar, Scholarships & Residency Services, Transfer Office, and Wellness Center.
