Spring 2025 On-Campus Registration Sessions
We encourage you to register for one of our upcoming in-person open enrollment sessions, where we will review course offerings, eligibility requirements, and assist you in the completion of your application for the Spring 2025 semester.

All of the sessions will begin at 4:00 pm and take place at City Tech's campus (300 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11201, Room G-600).
CUNY's College Now program enables NYC DOE high school students to develop academic momentum toward a college degree, envision options for their future, make informed choices about college and learn how their education can lead to rewarding careers. College Now at City Tech offers students from designated high schools the opportunity to enroll in college credit-bearing courses and STEM research opportunities FREE of cost. Classes meet after the regular high school day and/or on Saturday on the City Tech campus.

Benefits of Participating in College Now
- Enroll in one FREE college-credit course per semester
- Textbooks are loaned to students free of cost
- Attend college-readiness workshops and seminars
- Dedicated advisors, and tutors in specific subject areas, provide support with your courses and the college admissions process
- Transfer the credits you earn when you graduate from high school

Eligibility Requirements
- Attend a New York City DOE high school
- Be a high school Sophomore (10th grade), Junior (11th grade) or Senior (12th grade)
- Have an 80% GPA or higher on your high school transcript
- Have a good record of attendance in high school
- Demonstrate CUNY Proficiency through Regents, SAT and/or ACT exam scores in Reading &Writing and/or Math
CUNY Proficiency Requirements
Admission requirements for Math Courses: All students who apply for Math courses must demonstrate the necessary skill levels by meeting the following criteria:
COURSE | EITHER high school math GPA AND high school math course completed | OR New York State Regents Score |
---|---|---|
MAT 1275 - Algebra/Trig | High school math GPA of 70 or higher AND completion of Algebra 1 | Algebra 1 regent score ≥ 75 OR Geometry regent score ≥ 70 |
MAT 1375 – Pre‑Calculus | High school math GPA of 85 or higher AND completion of Algebra 2 | OR Algebra 2/Trig regent score ≥ 70 |
Admission requirements for Non-Math Courses: To meet CUNY ’s Reading and Writing proficiency, you need to demonstrate any of these criteria:
- 75+ on ELA Regents
- OR scored 480+ on SAT Verbal/Critical Reading/EBRW
- OR scored 21+ on ACT English
