Student Wellness Center
The Student Wellness Center is dedicated to helping City Tech students achieve academic success by supporting their physical, mental and emotional well-being. The center offers free services and programs designed to help our students reach their academic goals, maintain and/or improve their well-being, and make healthier life choices. We believe that healthy students are better able to learn and that when students make informed, conscious decisions about their health, everyone - students, families and communities - thrives.
COVID-19 Student Vaccination Mandate Submission Deadlines
2022 Submission Deadlines
For the Fall 2022 semester, the majority of CUNY courses will be in-person. Students taking in-person or hybrid courses must be fully vaccinated when classes begin, meaning unvaccinated students will be withdrawn before classes begin.
Students will be able to register for classes prior to achieving up-to-date vaccination status, but if you are taking in-person or hybrid classes, or plan to enter a University facility, you will have to have up-to-date vaccinations (or receive a religious exception or medical exemption) and have your vaccination documentation uploaded in CUNYfirst so it can be approved by the submission deadlines indicated below.
As per CUNY's policy, the CUNYfirst vaccination verification record of students enrolled in hybrid and in-person courses must indicate one of the following:
- Approved COVID-19 Vaccination Verification
- Submission Deadline: August 15, 2022
-
Students must submit their COVID-19 vaccination verification documents through the CUNYfirst portal.
- Students taking in-person or hybrid courses must be fully vaccinated when classes begin.
- As per the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated:
- Two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson's Janssen), or
- Two weeks after their second dose in 2-dose series vaccines (Pfizer or Moderna), or
- At the time specified in either the FDA licensure or World Health Organization (WHO) approval, after the final administration of any other vaccines.
- Submission Deadline: August 15, 2022
- Approved Medical Exemption
- Submission Deadline: July 25, 2022
- Late submissions will be considered, but the deadline is in place to ensure that anyone denied will have ample time to receive the vaccine before the start of the semester.
