Tutors are available to help you across a wide range of subjects, such as: math, biology, chemistry, physics, writing, computer science and programming, nursing, world languages, history, social sciences, business, communications, and teacher education.

• Log-in to Brightspace https://brightspace.cuny.edu/ by using your CUNYfirst credentials. From Brightspace go to the My Courses module, then click on the Organization tab where you will find the following statement: click here if you need tutoring. Scroll down to the announcements. There you will find tutor.com. Click on it and you will be in the platform.
• Select your topic, subject, and fill out the question or concept you want help with.
  • Please have your questions ready for your tutor before you connect. Enter your questions in the text box and/or any important notes in the pre-session questionnaire as an attachment ; this will save you time while you are in your tutoring session!
• After your session with a tutor is completed, you can go back and review it any time, or even save your tutor as a "favorite."
• If you do not see tutor.com in your brightspace account and would like access , please contact Judith Rockway with your name, EMPLID, and email address. She can be reached by email at Judith.Rockway84@citytech.cuny.edu
• When you use the schedule a session tab, please consider scheduling your appointment with a tutor for 60 minutes even if you do not think you need or want that much time. The platform will only deduct the actual amount of time you work with the tutor. For example, if you only meet with the tutor for 23 minutes then only 23 minutes will be charged to your account which is paid for by the college.
• Please review the tutoring tips for students flyer prior to getting on the platform. It is important you come to the tutoring session with work to do. You should also come with questions, math problems, or the basics of an assignment. It helps to review the materials beforehand, so you can make good use of your time. You can type in a question or two in the platform or upload a file to share with a tutor. Remember the tutors do not work for City Tech; rather, they work for tutor.com. You will need to be very clear with them about which topics you want to cover.
• If you would like a demonstration of how tutor.com works, a computer tutor is available to assist you in the Atrium Learning Center, room LG-18 from Monday- Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. He can help you with logging in and navigating the platform.
