Admissions Resources

  • REACTIVATE APPLICATION: A student must reactivate their application and acceptance with the admissions office if they were accepted and are requesting to attend the next semester. A student may only reactivate an account for the semester following their acceptance by reviewing the reactivation instructions Reactivation Instructions and then completing and submitting the Reactivate form to the Admissions Office.
  • IN-STATE TUITION RESIDENCY FORM: For in state tuition every student must complete the Residency form and provide proof. Review the instructions and feel free to follow up with the Residency office with any questions: Residency@citytech.cuny.edu
  • SUBMIT HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA: When you receive a High School diploma you may submit a copy electronically, by scanning or taking a picture, through the admissions drop box: admdoc@citytech.cuny.edu
  • SUBMIT IMMUNIZATIONS: Before the start of classes all immunization forms must be submitted the admissions office drop box: admdoc@citytech.cuny.edu
  • PARENT / GUARDIAN PERMISSIONS: For students who want to grant permission for third parties, such as parents or guardians, access to their educational record they must complete a FERPA Form.

Registration Resources

  • New Student Checklist. This checklist will provide a step by step list of tasks that should be completed prior to the first day of class.
  • New Transfer Registration Checklist. This checklist will provide a step by step list of tasks that should be completed prior to the first day of class.
  • CREDIT EVALUATION: As a transfer student you should review your transfer credit evaluation to confirm that all necessary classes have been transferred. If you have any questions or concerns you may follow up with the transfer evaluation team via email transfereval@citytech.cuny.edu.
  • MAJOR CHANGE FOR FIRST SEMESTER STUDENTS: If it is your first semester at City Tech and you are requesting to change your major during the registration period. Please speak with a STAR Adviser and complete the major change form for submission.
  • ACTIVATE CUNYFIRST ACCOUNT: Before students are able to register they must activate their CUNYfirst account
  • SCHEDULE BUILDER METHOD TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES: Schedule Builder Schedule Builder is a registration tool, that can be found in your CUNYfirst account, to assist you in planning your schedule. It allows you to view schedule options based on the courses and offering times that work best for you.

Other Offices

  • CENTER FOR STUDENT ACCESSIBILITY: If you have a disability or have received accommodations via an IEP or Section 504 you may be eligible for reasonable accommodations or academic adjustments as provided under applicable federal, state and city laws. You may also request services for temporary conditions or medical issues under certain circumstances. If you have questions about your eligibility or would like to seek accommodation services or academic adjustments, please contact the Center for Student Accessibility at 300 Jay Street room L-237, 718-260-5143 or www.citytech.cuny.edu/accessibility/.
  • VETERAN SUPPORT SERVICES OFFICE: The Veteran Support Services Office provides guidance and information on all federal, state and municipal educational and support programs for veterans and their families. Please feel free to contact them with any questions www.citytech.cuny.edu/veterans/
  • FINANCIAL AID OFFICE: 48-72 hours after a student registers for classes they should review their financial aid award and discuss any questions they have about funding classes with the Financial Aid Office. You may find their contact information as well as answers to other financial questions on their webpage: www.citytech.cuny.edu/financial-aid/
  • BURSAR: All students with balances that will not be covered by financial aid should follow up with the Bursar's Office or set up an online payment
  • CONTINUING STUDENT ADVISEMENT: After a Students first semester they will be assigned an academic adviser in their respective degree programs and should reach out to the Academic Department to schedule an advisement appointment.
  • DEPARTMENT QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE: We recommend students review the Department Quick Reference Guide for offices that may be beneficial to reach out to for various reasons throughout the semester.
