Are you ready to be advised? Here is what you need to do before joining the advisement session.

Students must send three documents to the Advisor right before the advisement session:

  • Completed Advisement Guide.
  • Student Degree Works Audit (no screenshots, only documents)
  • CityTech Transcript (no screenshots, only documents)

Please read the below instructions carefully to best experience the advisement.

  • Send your questions/inquiries ONLY to an advisor you wish to get advisement from.
  • Do your homework first.
    • YOUR HOMEWORK: Complete your advisement guide using your degree works and transcript.
  • Send below three items right before you join the zoom. If you don’t complete your advisement guide, you will be asked to complete it and re-join the advisement session.
    • Completed advisement guide (that YOU worked on)
    • Copy of your Degreeworks (in pdf, NOT SCREENSHOTS OR PICTURES)
    • Copy of your transcript (in pdf, NOT SCREENSHOTS OR PICTURES)
  • Do NOT send your same inquires to all advisors. Just choose the time you wish to be advised, and send your information/questions to an advisor assigned to that session.
  • If you could not see an advisor at that time, then do #3 for the next available advisor.

Be mindful as you may have to wait in the zoom waiting room for a good amount of time as zoom advisement is individual advisement. Students will be advised on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Advisors can answer/assist in all department/course policies.

If there is an issue that you feel needs further assistance the Advisor will contact the Chair on your behalf and follow up with you, as the Chair does not have Advisement Hours.

Dr. Rosado, the Internship Coordinator is not on Advisement. See his hours/email him.
