The NSLS is an organization that provides a life-changing leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth, career success and empowers them to have a positive impact in their communities.

We are dream supporters – we build leaders, support people in achieving their dreams, and better the world in the process. We get people to ask the all-important question, ‘What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?’ and then give students the tools they need to drive their future forward, establish themselves as leaders among their peers and build real-work skills that will help them excel in the workplace.

MENTORSHIP & LEARNING

Not only does your NSLS membership serve as a great resume builder, but it also sets you apart as a leader in the eyes of admission counselors and employers. Here are just some of the benefits you'll experience as you expand your leadership education with dedicated support along the way.

• Participate with your NSLS peers in goal setting, accountability and commitment to action with your Success Networking Team.
• Work with professional success coaches to improve your skills, refine focus and shortcut your path to success.
• A professionally administered communication assessment tool (DiSC) helps you identify your own communication style, teaches you to recognize and appreciate other styles and prepares you to interact effectively with others.
• After completion of the leadership training program, you’ll receive a leadership training certificate.

SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Don’t let funding stand between you and your dreams. The NSLS Foundation offers many scholarships and awards, which are based on a desire to make a difference, service, member excellence and financial need.

• Get access to scholarships and awards ranging from $500 - $7,500 each, totaling $350,000 per year, for tuition, community service, educational assistance and achieving your personal dreams.
• Apply for three different types of awards, including mission-based and need-based scholarships and grants as well as Stephen Covey Tribute Awards.
• Additional scholarships available to inducted members.

JOBS & INTERNSHIPS

The NSLS sets you up for success after college by preparing you with the tools and resources you need to help land your dream job.

• Boost your resume by getting leadership certification to help you stand out among peers.
• Apply to jobs/internships and get access to employers seeking to hire NSLS members.
• Receive an online interview series with career experts to guide you in landing your dream job.
• After your induction, receive a personalized letter of recommendation that you can send to employers and admissions offices.
• Explore opportunities for local, regional, or national leadership positions in the NSLS.

COMMUNITY & EVENTS

Discover through our speaker series the ways in which highly successful people overcome challenges, create change, and use their leadership for good in the world. As a member of NSLS, you'll get access to content that can inspire and motivate you to get started and build your dreams.

• Get access to a series of six live interactive streamed speaker broadcasts per year by celebrities, authors, motivational speakers and professionals on relevant topics facing students and graduates
• Online access to past presentations from about 100 nationally renowned NSLS speakers
