The N.E.S.T. Resource Center

Who We Are

Our acronym N.E.S.T. stands for "Nutrition for Education & Student Achievement". The N.E.S.T. Resource Center is a college-based organization that works to combat food insecurity for the City Tech community and their families. Our funding is provided by student activity funds, individual donations, and grants from various community agencies and/or organizations whose focus is to support student success and wellness.

At the N.E.S.T. Resource Center, we recognize that to thrive academically, students must be as free of concern as possible, in order to focus on their educational endeavors. It is for this reason that we have adopted a holistic approach to servicing student needs.KD

Who We Serve

The mission of the N.E.S.T. Resource Center is to provide City Tech, as well as CUNY students, with emergency assistance and resources to support their academic success.

How We Serve

The N.E.S.T. Resource Center serves students and their families by providing a variety of perishable and non-perishable products, such as fruits, vegetables, shelf-stable goods, frozen/refrigerated products and much more. To allow students agency in selecting their preferred products of choice, the N.E.S.T. Resource Center has adopted a market style pantry.

All items are free and students may visit the pantry once per week, by appointment Monday–Thursday, or by walk-in on Fridays.
