SEEK Alumni Giving Back

Alums Share Their Insights with 1st Year Students

SEEK alumni volunteered to serve as panelists at the Fall 2024 "Getting Through College" workshop. This workshop was created to provide students an opportunity to network with upper-level students and alumni who graduated within the last 10 years and are now working in their respective fields of study.

The event was largely attended by freshmen students who were enrolled in their first semester. Topics discussed included: how to stay persistent and motivated; what to expect at an internship; how best to transition from a student to a professional; and types of post-graduation challenges they overcame. Questions from the audience included: advice on managing upper-level courses; avoiding academic mistakes; balancing college and your personal life; and when to begin preparing for an internship. The SEEK program would like to thank the following alums for volunteering to facilitate this empowering event:
