Cayuse eRA
Cayuse is an electronic Research Administration (eRA) system where OSP currently tracks and maintains grant proposal submissions, routes pre-award approvals, maintains award information and accesses reporting. Faculty and staff do not create proposal records in Cayuse. City Tech OSP manages information in Cayuse. It will serve as the system of record at each CUNY campus for submitted proposals and awards. Faculty will be able to view all their proposals and award grant activity in Cayuse. Faculty and staff currently utilize to complete SFI compliance, grant proposal certification and approvals in routing. Fiscal award management will remain separate via RFCUNY.
Cayuse and City Tech grants process
It is essential that faculty/staff submit a City Tech Notice of Intent (NOI) at least one month before the sponsor deadline. If moving forward with an application, a proposal record will be created in the Cayuse by OSP. Compliance SFI forms will be completed by PI and co-PIs in Cayuse. OSP will route the proposal record to the PI and any co-PIs to certify, and for the chair and dean to approve when the project budget is complete. Project budgets must be finalized at least one week before the sponsor deadline to allow for Cayuse routing. This is separate from the sponsor application process, which varies by sponsor. Grant applications must be submitted by OSP no later than two days before the sponsor deadline.
