In order to modify security roles (for access to functions you do not have or that you want to remove from your account), Faculty and Staff must review and complete the appropriate CUNYfirst access request form.
This form must be submitted for access roles for the Campus Solutions module. The Campus Solutions module enables users to have access to student information.
The Human Capital Management (HCM) module of CUNYfirst enables users to have access to Human Resources related information. Access to information in this module is restricted to the Office of Instructional and Staff Relations.
The Procurement Module allows users to access information and processes relating to Purchasing.
The General Ledger form enables users access to the Business and Finance module of CUNYfirst.

CUNYfirst provides different modes of reports and queries. There are canned reports that could be available to users as long as the user has the appropriate roles to see that type of information.There are Public queries in the Reporting Instance, which are approximately 24hrs old data. Campus IT has created and can create Private queries for specific users. The user can run those queries themselves if they have access to the Reporting instance. The following checklist is intended to help guide you through the process of obtaining security access.
- Fill appropriate form. Academic requesters should contact the Office of Associate Provost for details on obtaining access. Administrative departments should review the form with their managers.
- Manager Approval/Signature (Divisional Liaison, Dean or Chair)
The manager is responsible for validating the roles and permissions being requested and ensuring the form is complete.
- Business Owner Approval/Signature
- Campus Solutions Access – Tasha Rhodes and Vincent Roach
- HCM Access – Sandra Gordon and Vera Amaral
- Procurement Access – Richard Aronin
- General Ledger – Angelo Pace
- Submission to Administrative Helpdesk
Once the business owners have signed the form, the business owners must submit the completed form to the Administrative Helpdesk. The Helpdesk will assign the request to the College’s Application Security Liaison group who will apply the requested roles and data access privileges.
