Steps to Becoming a Teacher
Depending on the education program you choose, most programs require the following:
- Required Education courses (MEDU in Mathematics Education; EDU in CTTE Department)
- Required clinical practice courses (internship, micro-teaching, student teaching)
- Fingerprinting
- TEACH Account: Download the TEACH Account Guide (PDF)
- Mandatory Workshops
- Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)
- Child Abuse Identification
- School Violence Intervention and Prevention
Certification Exams:
- EAS (Educating ALL Students)
- Prepare by completing EDU 2455, EDU 2610, and EDU 3610
- CST (Content Specialty Tests)
- Prepare by completing the content courses in the major.
