Dr. Vitaliy Dorogan – PI
Dr. Vitaliy Dorogan is a lecturer in the Physics Department at City Tech. He earned his Ph.D. in Microelectronics-Photonics from the University of Arkansas. His research focuses on optical spectroscopy of semiconductor nanostructures, including quantum dots, quantum wires, quantum wells, and hybrid structures. Dr. Dorogan continues his research and engages undergraduate students in his projects. He was one of the proposers of the Quantum Technology specialization for the ACP bachelor program. He also teaches a variety of physics courses.
Dr. Ivana Radivojevic Jovanovic

Dr. Ivana Radivojevic Jovanovic – Co-PI
Dr. Ivana Radivojevic Jovanovic is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Chemistry Department at City Tech. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry, Nanotechnology, and Materials Science from Hunter College, CUNY. Her research experience includes materials science and nanotechnology, as well as radiochemistry. She has worked on projects involving solar harvesting materials, utilizing dye molecules to sensitize TiO2 semiconductors in solar cell devices. Additionally, she used TiO2 semiconductor for the photoreduction of the radioactive element Technetium-99. Throughout her time at City Tech, she has actively engaged in various activities with students, such as advisement, undergraduate student research, and collaboration with other departments to organize career events for students.
Dr. Wenli Guo

Dr. Wenli Guo – Co-PI
Dr. Wenli Guo is an associate professor and deputy chairperson in the Physics Department at Queensborough CC. She earned her Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Buffalo. Dr. Guo has consistently engaged in research related to both nanomaterials and physics education. She possesses extensive experience working with students at all levels, both inside and outside the classroom. Dr. Guo played a key role in creating and continues to support the physics-engineering club at Queensborough CC.
