Advisory Committee on Campus Security

In accordance with the NYS Education Law, New York City College of Technology has an Advisory Committee on Campus Security which is composed of 4 students, 4 faculty members and 4 members appointed by the President.  The Committee reviews current campus security procedures and makes recommendations for their improvement. 

The Committee reviews current policies and procedures for:

  • educating the campus community about sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and bias-related and hate crimes
  • educating the campus community about personal safety and crime prevention
  • reporting sexual assaults, domestic violence, stalking incidents, and hate crimes, as well as assisting victims during investigations
  • referring complaints to appropriate authorities
  • providing counseling to victims
  • responding to inquiries from concerned persons

The Committee reports its findings and recommendations annually to the President.
