Welcome to Ursula C. Schwerin Library! In the words of Charles William Eliot, "the library is the heart of the university," and City Tech is no exception. Located on the 4th floor of the Library Building, the Library Department provides students and faculty with a diverse set of resources to support their academic and intellectual endeavors. It is the intention of the library to stimulate curiosity of the City Tech community, assist in their academic pursuits through our physical and online collection, provide research assistance, and facilitate access to a wide variety of technology and tools.
As an academic department, dedicated faculty librarians are committed to research in the field of library and information science, and beyond. Library faculty teach students both in the classroom and in the library's physical and virtual spaces. Each faculty librarian collaborates with other departments in the college curating a collection of books, scholarly journals, streaming media, loanable technology, and more.
We invite the City Tech community to visit the library to discover, study, create, borrow, and collaborate. Learn more about the library, it's collection, courses the Library Department offers, and faculty librarians on the library website at https://library.citytech.cuny.edu.
Beginning Summer 2024 all courses will be taught on Brightspace.
