What is the Brightspace Basics Course?
The Brightspace Basics course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to effectively use the new Brightspace learning environment, build and deliver digital course materials, communicate effectively with learners, and manage your grades and reports.
How long will it take to complete?
The Brightspace Basics Course is self-paced, which means that you control how fast you complete the course.
How to complete the course:
At the end of each module, you must score 100% on all 6 Knowledge Checks. Don't worry, you will have unlimited attempts.
Will I receive a certificate for completing the course?
Yes, you will receive a Brightspace Certification Badge.
What other benefits are there to completing this course?
Completing the Brightspace basics course makes you eligible to enroll in the Online Faculty Certification Course (OFCC).
Beginning Summer 2024 all courses will be taught on Brightspace.
