The ALC follows the college academic calendar.
No tutoring is available on holidays when the college is closed, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), Reading Days, and the Spring Break when classes are not held. The center observes Conversion Days (i.e. Wednesday follows a Friday schedule of classes. The tutoring schedule then follows a Friday schedule). Tutoring services end on the last day as specified on the Setmore platform.
Tutoring helps you to develop or fine-tune knowledge and skills that can enable you to help yourself. Your expected active participation in this process includes the following:
The Atrium Learning Center offers an online, self-paced Microsoft Office training, which is available to you around the clock on your own computer. You will have an opportunity to learn Word, Excel, and/or Power Point. Whichever applications you choose to get acquainted with are up to you. Regardless of what you decide, one thing is clear: you will have access to instructional lessons, which provide a mix of videos and interactive exercises to practice what you learn. A certificate of completion will be issued to you once you finish the program.
Should you need assistance while learning these skills or to finish your assignments, the center has an instructor on hand who can assist you.
If for any reason, you have a problem with the instructor, please contact the director, and If you have a comment or complaint about the service you receive, please use our Student Feedback Form.
Please note: Registration for this training is available year-round to current City Tech students. This includes days that classes are not held, and the college offices are open, in addition to the days when classes are held.
For more information, to register, or discuss a problem please email Judith Rockway at jrockway@citytech.cuny.edu.
