About School

The School of Professional Studies offers Associate Degree and Bachelor’s Degree programs that prepare students for work in health care, business, the hospitality industry, law, human services, and education. Students graduating from our health care programs have high pass rates on the licensing exams. The Teacher Education program is one of three in New York State that prepares teachers in fields of career and technology education.

Bachelor’s degree programs offer opportunities for students holding associate degrees in a variety of disciplines. The “two plus two” format allows students to begin working in his/her chosen field and continue studies while gaining work experience.

Full time and adjunct faculty are come from both academic and practice backgrounds, and lend their expertise to classroom and clinical experiences.

Our Mission

The mission of the School of Professional Studies is to prepare students for careers working with patients, clients and students. Programs focus on health care, business, the legal system, hospitality and career education.

Majors combine the liberal arts with professional courses to prepare students for licensure and employment. Technology, technical skills, professional ethics and concern for patients and clients, are hallmarks of the curricula.

Baccalaureate degree programs are scheduled with evening, weekend and partially online courses, to accommodate the needs of students who are working while attending school.

Students enrolled in the School of Professional Studies want to make a difference in the lives of patients, clients and students. They want to begin or advance careers in the world of business, law, or hospitality.
