The CUNY Pathways Initiative applies to all new students at City Tech, and to those returning after more than one semester of absence. TheCity Tech General Education guidelines allow students to comply with the Pathways Initiative in the way most consistent with the demands of their majors. The new framework consists of a "required core" and a "flexible core".
The new system provides flexibility for students in meeting requirements and transferring credits for the work they have completed at other CUNY colleges. Use the "Transfer Appeal Form" if you feel that you have not received the full transfer credit to which you are entitled. If this appeal does not resolve the issue, you can appeal directly to CUNY by clicking here.
In some cases, students returning after an absence of more than one semester may consider it preferable to remain with the graduation requirements in place at the time they first enrolled. To request permission to do so, please click on the "Opt Out" form and follow all instructions. Cases will be decided individually, based on major and requirements.
Beginning Summer 2024 all courses will be taught on Brightspace.
Continue to Brightspace to access your course materials.
If you are attempting to access SPARC or other training, or if you are a faculty member seeking access to a Blackboard course, please proceed to Blackboard.
