Ezra Halleck has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the New York City College of Technology of The City University of New York (CUNY) since 2002. Ezra taught high school in Nicaragua for 4 years before beginning graduate school. Upon receiving a PhD in 2000 from the University of California, he worked at Northeastern University, teaching discrete mathematics and calculus. While a graduate student, Ezra worked for the San Diego Supercomputer Center as an operator, educator and adviser, helping users debug and optimize their code.

Research Interests

Ezra Halleck’s training is in algebraic combinatorics, however, he has an interest in computational, discrete and enumerative mathematics, including geometry. He is presently part of research group in graph theory and co-organizes a combinatorics seminar at CUNY’s Graduate Center.
