Our Children’s Center provides an early educational program to the children of students of the City Tech community.
OFFER A SOUND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM TO CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF TWO (2.0) AND TWELVE (12) YEARS OF AGE.
We offer one toddler program, one 4K program and two 3K Department of Education classrooms. A school-age program for children 5-12 years of age is available for evenings, 3 - 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday and Saturday 8 am - 4:30 pm.
ADMISSON
Admission is on a first come, first served basis with priority to full-time students, for the appropriate classroom for each student’s child. City University of New York (CUNY) requires that priority is given to full-time students regardless of when a student applied. Services are provided for students during class, study, internship and Federal Work-Study documented times.
Currently enrolled City Tech students can apply for the Block Grant Subsidy. The Block Grant will cover childcare expenses for eligible students.
A waiting list for each appropriate classroom may be maintained and class size and demand as well as other factors dictate how long a wait is. Thus, two children of different ages may have different waiting periods. Our waiting list tracking is kept for one year
PRIVATE PAY EXTENDED HOURS
Private pay extended hours are available (limited availability in order to maintain ratios) for a fee of $25.00 for early drop-off (8 - 9 am) and an additional $25.00 for late pick-up (3:30 - 5:30 pm.)
The Center’s staff is trained to provide warmth, understanding, guidance and a variety of learning opportunities that meet each child’s individual needs.
