Welcome to CUNY Explorers

CUNY Explorers offers students the opportunity to visit a college campus, inspiring academic success while fostering essential life skills. Through a near-peer mentorship model, college students share their personal experiences, highlight college life, resources and build meaningful connections with younger students.

CUNY Explorers at City Tech shares a unified message with all visitors: college is within reach, affordable, and achievable - and students can start taking steps toward their college goals today. City Tech offers engaging college experiences designed for middle school and early high school students, available both in-person and remotely.

What makes Explorers at City Tech Unique?
Our college community embraces and participates in our visits making it a varied and engaging experience for our young visitors. It is a common place for a class to see and learn about our radiology lab, interact with nursing department's patient simulators or nursing manikins, experience our professional restaurant and kitchen and experience first-hand engineer and architecture tools, blueprints and machines. Our remote workshops equally engaging and can host up to entire grades. Also run by our trained college students, providing a connection and a model for our younger students.
