Scholarships & Residency Services

In an effort to safeguard all staff, current students, admitted students, and prospective applicants during the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to cancel all in-person student services for this semester. The health and safety of our students is our primary focus.

Until further notice, staff will be working remotely with limited access. Feel free to contact us by email, regarding your questions and concerns. Please allow 5-7 business days for a response. We are also available to assist students by phone during virtual business hours.

Welcome to City Tech! The Office of Scholarships & Residency Services has created this web page to help guide you through the process of applying for scholarships and grants, and submitting residency documentation.

Many students and parents are interested in learning more about the requirements for New York State resident tuition. There is a significant difference between the resident and non-resident tuition rates and the requirements can be complex. We strongly recommend reading all documents carefully and completely. For assistance or clarification when completing the required forms, you may refer to the Instructions for completing the City University Residency Form. Residency may also impact illegibility for certain types of financial aid. Please ask what scholarships, grants, or other sources of funding are available to you based on your residency status.

We help students navigate the numerous scholarships available and encourage them to apply.
