City Tech Remembers 9/11

City Tech Remembers 9/11

September 11, 2018

Seventeen years ago, on September 11, 2001, the world looked on in shock and horror as devastating loss was inflicted on our country and our city. In the tragic events of that day one of our students, one adjunct faculty member and at least two alumni were taken from us. In those moments forever etched in time, the College community was - in the small ways available to us - among the "first responders," providing aid and comfort to those who came streaming across the Brooklyn Bridge seeking safety.

The College has not forgotten.

We pause to honor the memory of all those lost on September 11, on the sixteenth anniversary. Included among them, our very own:

Charles Mauro, AAS in Hotel and Restaurant Management & Adjunct Instructor (1988)

Yvette Anderson, posthumously awarded B.Tech. in Hospitality Management (2002)

William Valcarcel, AAS in Accounting (1967)

Yuk-Ping Wong, AAS in Accounting (1983)
