On February 17, members of the City Tech community, including administrators, faculty from the Research Council, chairpersons, and students joined esteemed guests from the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Brookhaven National Laboratory for the signing of a groundbreaking new Memorandum of Understanding between the College and the Lab.

The CUNY Graduate Center announced this month the selection of 65 Black, Race and Ethnic Studies (BRES) Fellows, part of a $3 million Mellon Foundation-funded initiative designed to enhance Black, race and ethnic studies scholarship and teaching at CUNY. City Tech Adjunct Professor Sidik Fofana Receives Prestigious Whiting Award for his First Book, 'Stories from the Tenants Downstairs'
Sidik Fofana, a City Tech adjunct faculty member whose first book of short stories, “Stories from the Tenants Downstairs,” was published to acclaim last summer, has been named a winner of the prestigious Whiting Award for emerging writers. The honor is given each year to 10 new literary voices by the Whiting Foundation and carries a $50,000 prize.

Dr. Jason Ellis, Associate Professor of English, Director of City Tech's Professional and Technical Writing degree program, and Coordinator of the City Tech Science Fiction Collection, has been recognized by the Georgia Institute of Technology with a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Literature, Media, and Communication in the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts for “outstanding achievements that inspire continued excellence and bring credit to [Georgia Tech]."
