At the associate degree level, students acquire skills in mainframe computing and are introduced to programming in COBOL, CICS, SQL and systems such as C++ and Visual Basic.Net. At the baccalaureate level, in the only program of its kind in CUNY, students gain more advanced skills in specialized areas such as database design, Object-Oriented Systems, Unix, LANs, web design and data security. Data Science - a baccalaureate degree that synthesizes applied mathematics, high-performance computing, data management and analysis to provide a well-rounded interdisciplinary education for the new generation of data scientists.
