To be eligible for transfer admission, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 for all previous college work. Transfer applicants must also have completed one semester of non-remedial English and one semester of non-remedial math with a grade of C or higher.
Some degree programs require a higher grade point average for transfer admission, and others may restrict transfer admission at the point that seats are no longer available.
Students that attended college and dropped their classes can apply as a freshman with proof from the college that they dropped. If the student withdrew and received withdrawal grades you are considered a TRANSFER student and must apply as such.
You cannot apply as a freshman. CUNY policy requires that all students that have attended college no matter how long ago must apply as a Transfer student and submit transcripts from all education institutions.
