Student Support Services
Dear Student:
Welcome to Student Support.
All members of the Student Support staff look forward to facilitating your academic success. Our partnership with you depends upon many factors, including documentation.
In order for us to provide educational, technology, and other individualized accommodations, we require current documentation which supports your situation, identifies your disability, and contributes to our understanding of your specific needs. As Director, I am allowed documentation discretion within the law, but documentation is an essential foundation for getting started.
Your assigned counselor and our Academic Advisor will work with you to shape a sound educational plan based on your intake interview, documentation, and perhaps other factors. We can also refer you to testing sites or other resources which can provide documentation, whether your condition is permanent or temporary.
We also require documentation for general Student Support participation without the need for tailored accommodations.
Once again, on behalf of Student Support I welcome you to both NYC College of Technology and to our program. I remain available to answer your questions.
Sincerely,
Faith Fogelman, ACSW
Program Director
