TECH LEARNING CENTER - Voorhees 217
The Tech Learning Center (TLC) focuses on the needs of students enrolled in the engineering technologies and offers the services listed below.
Tutors
Limited individual and group tutoring are provided in architectural, automotive, building superintendent, civil engineering, computer-aided drafting and design, construction, environmental control, and telecommunications technologies.
Equipment
Hands-on practice is available with electronic testing equipment and drafting equipment. The Microsoft Office suite and course related software are installed on the twenty-station computer network. The computer program, PLATO, described under ALC services is also available in the TLC. Students may access the Internet from some of the computer stations, however the limit is an hour per day per person for Internet access.
Study space
Part of the TLC is reserved for individual and group study, drafting, including drawing table projects, lab experiments and other assignments.
Additional resources
The TLC stocks textbooks, reference books, specially prepared instructional materials, audio-visual packages in various formats, and self-test exercise sheets related to the engineering technologies curricula.
