2018-2019 New York State Excelsior Scholarship Applicants

The New York State Excelsior Scholarship application is now available for new applicants in the Spring 2019 Term on the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) website and will be available only until January 14, 2019. To make sure you fully understand all of the eligibility criteria, we strongly recommend that you carefully review the following before you apply:

Reviewing this information will ensure that you understand what the eligibility criteria are for the scholarship, as not all students may be eligible. You should also review this information so that you understand the requirements for utilizing and maintaining the New York State Excelsior Scholarship in future years.

As a reminder, you must complete your 2018 — 19 FAFSA and TAP applications before applying for the New York State Excelsior Scholarship online. Check the HESC website for information on the New York State Excelsior Scholarship and sign up for e-mail updates about when the scholarship application becomes available next. If you first received the award in the fall term of the current academic year, no additional action is needed for the spring term. Note that the deadline to apply for the Fall 2018 semester for first-time applicants has now passed.
