City Tech's Architectural Technology Department Partners with NYCHA for ARCscholars Program
City Tech's Department of Architectural Technology has partnered with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) to give young adults a unique opportunity to study the architecture and planning of NYCHA developments throughout the city.

English Professor Patrick Corbett shares the story of two students from different countries and different sections of ENG 2575—taken during different semesters!-- collaborating on a groundbreaking project, demonstrating extraordinary application of all they have learned in their study at City Tech.

Career & Technology Education Professor Euisuk Sung Recognized with ITEEA and NYSTEEA Awards
Dr. Euisuk Sung, an assistant professor in City Tech's Department of Career & Technology Teacher Education program, was recognized this past spring with awards from two outstanding technology education organizations, the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) and New York State Technology and Engineering Educators Association (NYSTEEA).

Three City Tech Students Awarded 2023 Selldorf Architects Scholarships
Alyssa Duran, Paloma Nunciato, and Lydia Richardson have been awarded the 2023 Selldorf Architects Scholarship, a prestigious award offered exclusively to City Tech students in the Bachelor of Architecture program. The annual scholarship was established by Annabelle Selldorf, the founder and lead designer of Selldorf Architects.

Architect Dwayne Dancy is Building Something Big
Roughly two decades into the field, Dwayne Dancy is now his own boss, running Isoparm Design Group down in DUMBO. The firm works on both commercial and residential projects spanning multiple eastern states. Dancy's work in Brooklyn also includes teaching his craft as a City Tech adjunct. His own academic journey led to both an HBCU and Ivy League pedigree, snagging a bachelor's from Howard and a master's from Columbia. But he was largely taught a eurocentric curriculum of architecture, even at a historically-Black college, with a heavy emphasis on Greek temples and columns—Doric, ionic, the whole shebang.

CUNY TV Looks at the Art of Dessert Making, Hospitality Program at City Tech
CUNY TV's Carol Anne Riddell gets a lesson in dessert making and intense teamwork at City Tech with pastry chef Susan Lifrieri-Lowry, Department of Hospitality Management chair Karen Goodlad, and student Patrick Sewell. The program creates food both for the palette as well as the eyes, and goes into accounting, wine-making, tourism, lodging operations, the restaurant scene, and all different levels of the industry. (City Tech's segment begins in the video at 18:25.)

Ryayo Terao, New York City College of Technology – 13 Driver's Licenses
The research of professors in film production does not come in the form of statistics but in the form of artistic works. Associate Professor Ryayo Terao recently directed a documentary on 13 driver's licenses that were discovered in Lichtenfels, a small town in Germany. The licenses had been confiscated from Jewish citizens in 1938 and then lay hidden in the basement of the local county office. The film focuses on their discovery in 2017 and the unique events that happened next.

Sabil Manai, Applied Chemistry major at City Tech, was quoted in a NY1 article on the proposed MTA fare and toll increases.
