CUNY Related Entities Group (CREG)

The CUNY Related Entities Group (CREG) is an informal association of separately-incorporated not-for-profit entities that provide services to The City University of New York. At City Tech, the Related Entities consist of:

The Alumni Association exists because of and in service to the College. Its purpose is to provide a life-long association among City Tech and its alumni, and to promote the general welfare of City Tech, its students, and alumni. The Alumni Association promotes alumni participation in City Tech’s pursuit of excellence in education, research and community service.

The City Tech Foundation’s purpose is to raise, accumulate, and contribute funds to meet the needs of the College, its students, and the community. This is accomplished by developing programs and fund activities that secure, receive, and administer tax-deductible charitable contributions. Foundation activities include the annual College Appeal, the Best of New York Award Dinner, and the CUNY Campaign for Voluntary Charitable Giving.

The College Association of New York City College of Technology, Inc. is created for the principal purpose of developing and cultivating educational, social, cultural, and recreational activities for students. Its revenue is primarily derived from student activity fees and it is governed by a thirteen-member Board of Directors, chaired by the College President.

Our Children’s Center is a Nationally Accredited CUNY-based early childhood education program that is licensed by NYC Department of Health. The center offers an educational experience for children of students while attending classes, participating in federal work-study programs, and internships. The center partners with the NYC Department of Education Free Universal Pre K For All for children turning 4 by December 31. The center utilizes Creative Curriculum and provides enrichment in music and dance.

There is a sliding fee scale for all programs with the exception of UPK.

The Pell Administration account is derived from federal overhead funds which are annually distributed by CUNY. These funds are utilized within Title IV regulations.
