Stan Kaplan provides invaluable services throughout the School of Technology and Design, assisting department support and supervising special infrastructure and facilities development projects. Stan graduated from New York City College (or as it was called then, New York City Community College of Applied Arts and Sciences) in June 1967 with an Associates in Applied Science in Construction Tech. In September 1967, he was hired as a college science technician in two college programs, Fire Sciences and Construction Tech. He has been "putting out fires" at City Tech ever since. His commitment to City Tech is evident from his nearly 40 years of devoted service to all levels and facets of campus life. In 1979, he moved to the Architectural Technology department as a college lab technician and worked as senior CLT until his retirement in January 2003. Mr. Kaplan's school recognitions include the Multicultural Award given by then College President Cozie for professional contributions to the College and a Performance Excellence Award in 1999.
