Video Production

The City Tech Video Production Certificate Program prepares for and advances video production careers in film, television, web video, networked distributed video and video for ubiquitous devices. Many students and professionals in the field desire the educational opportunity to acquire the technical and design skills this Certificate Program offers.

The program provides an environment where students can learn the basics of all aspects of video pre-production, production and post-production techniques. Preproduction planning includes equipment operations, content development and production from script and storyboard to final edit, project coordination with a team, mastery of production skills in both studio and location environments; and mastery of both video and audio post-production work, from capture through rough cuts and final production. The program encourages hands-on experience with alternate devices for video presentation. Students who complete the certificate are able to function as content creators, production managers, editors, directors, or producers. Undergraduate students will be prepared for entry-level positions in the field, or to continue their studies in a post-graduate institution.
