The Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program in Radiological Science is designated as a 2+2 model (AAS or equivalent+BS) to provide an avenue for professional and personal advancement for credentialed x-ray technologists, nuclear medicine technologists, sonographers, and radiation therapists. Qualified applicants include graduates of an associate degree or certificate (hospital-based) program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and who are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
This BS degree program is unique within The City University of New York (CUNY), the only one of its kind offering further education in medical imaging. The program was designed to meet the needs of a variety of individuals in the medical imaging and radiation therapy workforce, including entry-level personnel and experienced professionals who are looking for professional advancement.

The radiologic technology program is one of the health career programs at New York City College of Technology.It is designed to provide the health team with a member who uses radiation to produce images which contribute to diagnosis of disease or injury. Graduates receive the AAS degree and are eligible for the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
