Professor Jennett Ingrassia received her initial radiography training and certification at a hospital-based program, and both her AAS in Radiologic Technology and BS in Medical Imaging from Thomas Edison State College. She holds a Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences, Education Track from Midwestern State College and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Higher Education from Grand Canyon University. Professor Ingrassia is nationally certified Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and is licensed to practice radiography in both New York and New Jersey.
She has been a certified registered radiologic technologist for over twenty three years. She has been a Past President of the New Jersey Society of Radiologic Technologists (NJSRT) and has been an active member of the Board of Directors for over 20 years. Professor Ingrassia has been a Delegate to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) where she is currently serving her fifth term. Additionally, she has served on numerous ASRT committees and most recently has been appointed to the Committee on RT Advocacy. She is also a graduate of the ASRT Leadership Academy and the ASRT Leadership Academy for Educators. Professor Ingrassia has been published in Radiologic Technology, the professional journal for the ASRT, as well as The Scanner, the ASRT news magazine. Professor Ingrassia is also a site visitor apprentice to the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
Professor Ingrassia has been involved in radiography education for over 20 years. She has previously been employed as a didactic and clinical instructor at the radiography program in Helene Fuld Medical Center in New Jersey as well a clinical laboratory technologist at Passaic County Community College. She also held faculty positions at Essex Community College and Bronx Community College and was the Clinical Coordinator at the Muhlenberg Schools for Radiologic Imaging. She has instructed courses in, patient care, radiographic exposure, pathology, and in all levels of radiographic procedures. While at City Tech, Professor Ingrassia has taught the Procedures I and Radiography Seminar class and both radiographic procedures and exposure labs, in addition to her responsibilities as advisor to the REM RAD Club. Professor Ingrassia holds memberships in the New York State Society of Radiologic Technologists, New Jersey Society of Radiologic Technologists, Association of Educators in Radiologic Sciences and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.
