Professor Greene is an associate professor in the Department of Nursing. She teaches a second-semester nursing course entitled “Caring for Clients with Common Alterations in Survival Needs.” The course focuses on nursing care for clients with fluid and electrolyte imbalance, respiratory and cardiovascular problems and diabetes. She spends two clinical days per week at New York Methodist Hospital where her students gain clinical experience on medical-surgical and pediatric units.

Professor Greene has a BS from Hunter College and an MA from New York University. Professor Greene has taught nursing at the College of Staten Island, Wagner College, Hunter College and Long Island University. Her clinical experience was acquired at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital. She believes that the most rewarding aspect of her teaching career is working with students in the clinical laboratory to assist them in applying their theoretical knowledge to care for clients.
