Andrea Dopwell is a RN with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Masters Degree in Public and Hospital Administration and currently a candidate for Masters in Nursing Education. She has certification in Nephrology Nursing. Her past experiences include, Chief Executive Officer of Ridgewood Dialysis Center as well as an Assistant Director of Nursing at Flushing Hospital and Administrator of Renal Services Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.
Andrea Dopwell has worked at New York City College of Technology since 1996. She has worked in the capacity as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Full Time Substitute Assistant Professor and Full Time Lecturer. She presently teaches Med Math and First Semester Fundamental of Nursing Clinical sessions.
She is appointed to the: Clinical Liaison, Recruitment, Test review and Curriculum Committees within the Nursing Department as well College Wide Committees. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, American Nephrology Association, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, and Member of the National League of Nursing, Rockland County Legislative Committee for Women’s Issues, Long Island University Alumnae, and Hunter College Alumnae
