Welcome to the website of the Nursing Department at New York City College of Technology, City University of New York (City Tech). I am very pleased that you are interested in nursing education at City Tech. Our department offers two programs, the Associate Degree in Nursing and the RNBS program in Nursing. The Associate Degree in Nursing program is a pre-licensure program and the RNBS program is for Registered Nurses to obtain a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Both of our programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
Nursing is at the heart of healthcare in Brooklyn and throughout the world. Registered Nurses look forward to long term professions that offer them myriad professional opportunities. In turn, nurses provide care and comfort to all segments of the population. Nurses today are not only skilled caregivers but are technologically savvy researchers, leaders, and educators.
Nursing students at City Tech follow a course of study that includes general education as well as nursing sciences. We partner with many healthcare facilities in New York City where students are able to practice under the supervision of our experienced faculty. We have a state-of-the-art simulation lab in the Nursing Department and all of the many other resources of the college.
