Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program for Registered Nurses (RN) is a flexible upper level program that provides didactic and clinical courses on Wednesdays to meet the needs of RN students. In addition to academic course work, students practice physical assessment skills in a college laboratory setting and select clinical agencies afford students dynamic opportunities to expand their knowledge base in leadership, community health, and in urban health issues.

Upon completion of the program, nurses will have the foundation for both graduate studies and progressively more complex clinical leadership roles in healthcare. The computer resources at City Tech facilitate the Faculty's ability to offer courses fully and partially on-line. This expanded use of technology accommodates RN schedules and enhances students' ability to deal with the rapid expansion of information technology.

Applicants for the BS program must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in NY before enrolling in the first clinical nursing course. Applicants standing will be evaluated based on their prior academic records.
