Hospitality Management
Professor Mehrotra has a Masters in Business Administration from Johnson and Wales University, and is currently finishing a doctoral program in Higher Education at Widener University, where he has also been involved with the University Online Hospitality Program. Professor Mehrotra has also taught at the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia for four years and where he developed coursework and curriculum for the culinary and hospitality program. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public administration, sociology, and political science from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. Additionally, he completed undergraduate work in hotel management, culinary arts and nutrition at the National Council for Hotel Management in India. Professor Mehrotra has been associated with the hospitality industry for over twelve years and performed teaching and training in the hospitality field at Johnson and Wales University as a Fellow and Teaching Assistant under their internship program for Radisson Hotels and as Food and Beverage Manager and Resident Services Manager at ARAMARK Corporation. He also served as an assistant manager in food and beverage operations while in India, for hotel chains such as The Park Hotels (premium boutique hotels), Quality Inns (Master Franchisee of Choice Hotels International) and the India Tourism Development Corporation.
