Instructor Joanne Lewin-Jacus is currently teaching Beginning Baking and Pastry Arts I and II at City Tech, while completing her degree online with CUNY. Her passion for the Food Service Industry began when she worked in all facets of the family's off premise catering business. Professor Jacus earned an Associates degree at the Culinary Institute of America, worked for Hyatt Corporation before and after working in Switzerland and Germany. Other baking and pastry experiences include co-owning and managing a retail/wholesale Pastry Shop, research and development, airline desserts, and bakery production manager for a Belgian company and in an Atlantic City Hotel.
