Audio Engineering Society (AES)
The Audio Engineering Society is the organization for the serious audio engineer. Some of our ST faculty are AES members.
Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA)
ESTA is the primary entertainment standards-making body. It is currently at work on a variety of standards regarding entertainment control, especially the Advanced Control Network (ACN), an object-oriented control standard. Some of our faculty are involved in the ESTA Control Protocol Working Group.
International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA)
AAPA is the trade organization for themed entertainment and the amusement industry, including everything from rides to hot dog machines.
International Laser Display Association (ILDA)
The ILDA is the entertainment Laser industry trade association.
MIDI Manufacturer's Association (MMA)
The MMA is the manufacturer's organization, which creates and, publishes MIDI standard.
National Systems Contractor Assocation (NSCA)
This is the national trade associations for systems contractors. Our department is an NSCA member.
Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA)
PLASA is the European equivalent of ESTA. It sponsors a Lighting and Sound International.
Themed Entertainment Association
The TEA is active in themed entertainment, including theme parks, themed retail, etc.
US Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT)
The USITT is the primary organization for academic theatre. Our department is an organizational member of USITT.
