Dental Hygiene
Fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, the dental hygiene program at New York City College of Technology is the oldest and largest in the New York metropolitan area.
City Tech's highly qualified faculty of dentists and registered dental hygienists provide you with the theoretical knowledge and technical skills necessary for the successful practice of dental hygiene… at an affordable price. The program includes courses in oral anatomy, microbiology, dental pharmacology and nutrition, along with specialized courses in dental radiology, periodontics, dental materials, community health and clinical experience. Hands on treatment of patients with a variety of characteristics and dental health conditions takes place in City Tech's 50-chair hygiene care clinic. Classroom lectures and laboratory work supplement this practical experience. Opportunities to gain additional first-hand, real-world experience in an affiliated off-campus health care facility are also available
