Dr. Maureen Archer is an Associate Professor who primarily teaches in the second year of the Associate degree program. She currently serves as the DEN 2300 Clinic coordinator and has previously served as the DEN 1200 and DEN 2400 coordinator. The coordinators of each clinical course are fundamental to the organization and running of the onsite “Citytech” Dental Hygiene clinic where the Dental Hygiene students gain their clinical experience. In additional to being a clinical coordinator, she teaches the didactic course which complement the clinical experiences of DEN 2300 and DEN 2400.
Dr. Maureen Archer graduated from SUNY Farmingdale where she obtained her associate in Dental Hygiene. After working full time as a Dental Hygienist, she returned to SUNY Stony Brook where she obtained her Baccalaureate degree in Biology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree.
She is an active member of both the ADA; ADHA and ADEA. She believes in lifelong learning and actively pursues continuing education to be current with the needs of the profession. In her didactic classes, she implements high impact learning practices to encourage students to be active learners.< Back to Faculty Listing
