Dr. Douglas Moody has been with the CityTech since 2001, bringing years of industry experience to the computer science. During his career, Prof. Moody has worked at several top IT companies, including IBM, as well as for public sector entities, such as the City of New York.
His work has always centered on application development, particularly in the public sector. Key projects include the complete re-development of tax systems within New York City, the implementation of child-support and enforcement systems, and management of DOT infrastructures (bridges, roadways, parking meters).
He has a M.B.A in information science from Pace University and a Ph.D. in computer science, from the CUNY Graduate Center. His academic research has focused on Scheduling and Timetabling issues. During the early internet days, Prof. Moody worked with several internet sites, which were involved in managed youth and high school sports information.
