Dr. Candido Cabo received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (Spain) and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University (Durham, North Carolina). Before joining City Tech, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the SUNY Health Sciences Center at Syracuse, and a research scientist at Columbia University. He brings to City Tech many years of experience in different areas of scientific computing (programming languages, databases, numerical analysis, visualization) and research. His current research interest is the use of computer simulation to understand complex biological systems.
Professor Cabo was named City Techâs Scholar-on-Campus in 2005, and he is now the Chair of the Department of Computer Systems Technology.
