NEIL WOTHERSPOON
Associate Professor

Professor Neil Wotherspoon earned his BS in chemistry in 1952 and a PhD in physical chemistry in 1957 at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He was a post-doctoral fellow at New York University in the physics department and the AEC Computing Center of the Institute of Mathematical Science (now the Comrant Institute). Before joining the CET/EM department at City Tech he was an assistant professor of biophysics at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He was employed by Technicon Instruments Corp. as a research scientist developing automated clinical chemistry analysis systems. Wotherspoon's research interests include the measurement of fluorescence and related luminescence effects for chemistry, physics and biomedical applications. For more information visit:
