Professor Rathika Rajaravivarma earned her Bachleor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, India in 1984; her master's and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, TN in 1987 and 1992 respectively. The focus of research in her Ph.D was on developing fast algorithms for multidimensional digital signals. Prior to entering academia, her experiences include working with various database management and ERP systems for a number of different applications with AT&T, Lucent, Avaya, and Ciba. She joined the EMT/CET department of City Tech on fall of 2007. Her interests are in computer networking, data communications, and database applications. Her research activities have also spanned in the area of project-based and active learning approaches. For more information visit:
